Ultimate Plant Trailers is a true family business, proudly owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Matt and Jo Kayler-Thomson.
With a background in running a large-scale commercial plumbing and drainage company, Matt understood first-hand the demands of the earthmoving industry. From operating trucks and trailers himself, he quickly recognised what worked — and what didn’t — for operators on the job. This insight sparked a vision to raise the standard in the tag trailer sector.
Alongside him, Jo brought her strengths in organisation, attention to detail, and quality-driven focus. Overseeing the subassembly, Jo ensures every trailer meets the highest standard before it leaves the workshop. Together, their skills and determination laid the foundation for what has become Australia’s most trusted names in plant trailer manufacturing.
Since 2011, UPT has grown with the same values that guide our family: hard work, honesty, and pride in everything we do. Our two boys, now teenagers, have grown up with the business, and just as our values are instilled in them, they are also built into every trailer we manufacture and every customer relationship we form.
